Dr. Bryan J. Rade, ND grew up in London, Ontario where
he became interested in naturopathic medicine during his senior year of
high school. As he remains today, Bryan was fascinated by the idea of
promoting health using tools like herbs, nutrition, and acupuncture,
and the concept of working with a patient to help him or her to achieve
a greater state of health. After completing three years of study in
the medical and biological sciences at the University of Western
Ontario, Bryan moved to Toronto to enrol at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM).
During his time at CCNM, he was a member of the college rowing team and
also formed a club in which students could practice and hone their
clinical skills on one another. Upon completing his four years of
naturopathic training, Bryan wrote his licensing exams and set out to
begin his practice in the Halifax area.
Bryan is pleased to offer his family medical services to any person
wishing to correct a current health concern or work towards general
health promotion. He is a firm believer in the concept of “Doctor as
Teacher” and encourages everyone to take an active role in obtaining
and maintaining their physical, mental, and emotional well being. As a
licensed practitioner, Bryan is registered under the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy and holds membership with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
Bryan lives in the Halifax area with his partner and fellow
naturopathic doctor, Taryn, and his three-year old son, Oliver.
Outside of work, he enjoys an active lifestyle including hiking,
running, rock climbing, and a variety of other sports.
